PHOTOS FOR US

A Mother and Daughter live on opposite sides of the earth. Both will celebrate a milestone age in their life during 2010. This blog will be their story for the next year, photographs of what they see, feel, love or hate.

These are their lives...

Saturday 26 February 2011 - Z

Z is for Zzzzzzzzz.

Z is for zinc, this is the chickens water feeder, made of zinc, doesn't rust, and apparently is a good sacificial anode!

Friday 25 February 2011 - Y

Y is for Yellow Duck. This is a really special duck, because if you give it a hug it lights up and flashes.

Thursday 24 February 2011 - X

X is for X-Ray this is one of the machines at my place of work. It was broken today - hence the instruction manual on the bed.

Failure today, I did not see anything beginning with x and I wasn't going to break anything just so I could see an x-ray machine. So I took a picture of a nice sunset instead.

A girlfriend said 'What about photographing xenophobia?' 'How do I do that?' I said. She replied 'Take a photo of my husband!' LOL

Wednesday 23 February 2011 - W

W is washing... there is always a lot of it.

W is for weather. We had quite a bit of weather this morning.

Tuesday 22 February 2011 - V

V is for Voucher. I think we're going to use it to go jet skiing.

V is for van, reversing the wrong way up a one way street and then ultimately parking on a corner, on a yellow line! See also O is for one way.

Monday 21 February 2011 - U

Sunday 20 February 2011 - T

T is for Tea. And this is one of my favourite mugs aswell.

Tickets, I usually keep 'event' and theatre tickets. This is a small sample, word of advice......never add up the cost, it may lessen enjoyment of the memories.

Saturday 19 February 2011 - S

S is for smoke. You can just about see it here. This stuff helps keep the killer mosquitos away.

This is a good one...not for Vegetarians. S is for Stobbs. A mobile butchers van comes to our local market on Saturdays. They sell the most AMAZING meat, most locally farmed. The shop they come from is called Stobbs.

Friday 18 February 2011 - R

R is for Roast. I love roast dinners but in the heat of Brisbane - the most we have is the occassional roasted veggies.

R is for river. The Thames in the evening with London Bridge spanning it.

Thursday 17 February 2011 - Q

Q is for Queen. We never discussed this honest!!! I had trouble taking this photo - as just like her I never carry cash!

Q is for Queen, long may she reign, we certainly don't want the next in line on the throne......is that treason?

Wednesday 16 February 2011 - P

P is for Peas. I love em - frozen or fresh in the pod.

P is for papers. The free Evening Standard, getting ready for distribution at the station this evening.

Tuesday 15 February 2011 - O

O is for Ornament. And also for Oh this was a really hard day to take a picture on!

O is for One way. I love the way the British, as a rule, take only minor notice of roads signs, the road outside my office is a one way street, if you want to go the other way you reverse! O is for Obvious.

Monday 14 February 2011 - N

N is for Nora. As it's the day of love I wanted to express something that I love. The man wasn't forthcoming and he doesn't begin with N and neither does Chocolate or films. So I've gone with reading and this is what I'm reading at the moment. First book in a trilogy, and the fourth of her novels I've read.

N is for Narcissus - nice to see spring on the way, albeit indoors.

Sunday 13 February 2011 - M

J is for jugs. I have loads, I used to collect them but most of those are stored in our garage. I like using jugs as vases. Here are three that were easily to hand tonight.

E is for equipment. Dive equipment or gear as some people call it. Consists of BCD, Weights, Tank, Knife, Life Sausage, Regs. Major fun!

E is for eggs. I know eggs have featured before but I love the way we can now collect our own eggs each morning. I always say thank you to the hens. There were more eggs than this but I took this picture after lunch!

Friday 4 February 2011 - D

D is for Dust. I had trouble with todays photo. I nearly hit a dog on the way to work, and Dead Dog is a double D. But I was too busy swearing at the owner to take a photo. Then all day at work - I couldn't think of anything to take a photo of. So when I got home, I took a photo of the BBQ meat and a Chinese Menu, with the plan that D would be for decision (somthing that I have trouble making!) Just before I was about to go to bed... this guy walked across the floor. I'm a tad embaressed by the amount of dust that seems to have attached itself to his feet - but who hoovers behind their shelf units?

D is for dark. It was also very windy but we are taking photos of D today not W.

Thursday 3 February 2011 - C

C is for canvas. This one hangs in the study and is of waves crashing. It's called Non-attachment.

C is for Cup-cake and Calculator. The cup cake was bought for me a few years ago, the calculator is solar powered, 12 digit display with large buttons.....just how I like them.

Wednesday 2 February 2011 - B

B is for bullying. Bullys come in all guises, from subtle to downright nastiness.

B is for Brick wall, this was the most interesting wall I could find. Sometimes I feel like I am hitting my head against this.

Tuesday 1 February 2011 - A

A is for Andrea (of course!). I'm probably most recognisable by my Ginger locks.

A is for Agenda.....RSPB local group committee meeting tonight, so I get in from work, chuck my tea down my throat and rush back out again.....
